About us
Castle School Friends brings together parents, grandparents, carers, teachers and friends of The Castle School in Thornbury. There are lots of ways that you can get involved and help support your school.
Castle School Friends committee
Our committee is a friendly group and joining is a great way to get involved in school life and meet new people. Anyone can join, and we always welcome new members. It can sometimes be a bit daunting joining a new group on your own, so why not come along and bring a friend? See below for our current vacancies, and check out our upcoming events for future meeting dates.

Do you have an eye for design? Could you spare an hour or two a month? If so, we need you! We are looking for someone to help us design posters and publicity materials for our events. This is an occasional role and it’s a great way to get involved with Castle School Friends without a regular time commitment (although you would of course be welcome to join our committee too if you’d like to). We run around 6-8 different events each year and would love to find someone who can design posters, flyers and social media marketing material to help us promote them.
We always welcome general committee members and helpers too, whether you can only spare a little time or want to get more involved. Please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!
Our constitution and charitable aims
